Freelance Production & Marketing Assistant for Edinburgh Fringe

We are looking for a Production & Marketing Assistant to support the promotion and production of our artists’ shows during Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year.

Working across various comedy shows with an exciting roster of talent, the role will involve flyering, artist and box office liaison, supporting with marketing and social media and some administrative duties.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a career in comedy and live performance to expand their professional skill set and build their connections in the industry.

The role involves 5 hours work a day and how this time is managed will be discussed with each applicant.

Fee: £1920

Start date: 15th July 2024


  • 5 hours per day, 31st July – 25th August (with 1-2 days off)
  • 8 hours pre-Fringe
  • Flyering shifts and exit flyering
  • Administrative duties such as email correspondence and record keeping
  • Checking ticket sales
  • Artist liaison
  • Managing review splashes for posters & flyers
  • Assisting with management of the street team
  • Assisting the Marketing Manager with marketing and social media


  • Available to watch videos of each show before the Fringe and attend shows on the first 2 days (Essential)
  • Ability to work from home and work remotely at the Fringe (Essential)
  • Experience of working at the Fringe (Essential)
  • Own accommodation (Essential)
  • Own laptop and smartphone (Essential)
  • Previous flyering experience (Desirable)
  • Experience making social media content (Desirable)
